I determine the imagery above appeals to the sense of visual because the author is trying to describe or picture the texture, colour (red), and the thickness of the wine. This got me thinking of the whole process of making a wine from picking the ripest ones until they squished all the juices out from the blackberry and they process it until it's made into wine.
